If there’s one thing all smartphone users fear, it’s running out of battery. “Plus jamais sans ma batterie” (“No more dead battery”) is a Facebook application developed by Brainsonic, presenting several delicate situations that arise as a result of this all too familiar problem. The application allows users to register by sharing one of the 21 situations, to which anyone who has ever run out of battery at an inopportune moment can relate.

This sharing activity allows users to register for the competition and to be in with a chance of winning a ZenFone2, the latest Asus smartphone. Facebook users had no excuse not to participate, as the number of available prizes went up as the number of shares increased.

With a conversion rate of 62% and 64 000 users reached through fewer than 10 publications, the initiative became a real trend on Facebook. This success was due in no small part to one key factor: the virality of Facebook shares and user engagement on social media.
