On Thursday July 30, 2015, something unusual happened in Paris. Asus invited a selection of hand-picked influencers to walk through the French capital at night and take photographs of city landmarks using the new Zenfone 2. The initiative was designed to boost visibility for the #100DaysOfZen campaign, as well as to celebrate the partnership between Asus and the photographer Robert Jahn.

Engaging Influencers around the Zenfone2

In order to promote the quality of the Zenfone 2, its new generation smartphone, Asus invited around 30 influencers to take part in an evening safari along the streets of Paris. Their mission? To immortalize a selection of places and monuments, before editing their photos in the style of digital artist Robert Jahns. The photomontage specialist, who is highly active on Instagram, was present at the event. As for the lucky influencers, they were chosen for their social media presence as well as their audience and the quality of their content, and represented three major communities: photo, lifestyle and technophiles. This initiative was part of the global #100DaysOfZen campaign, which sees Robert Jahns travel around the world between July 6 and October 13, taking photographs as he goes to showcase the quality of the new Zenfone 2.

A Social Wall and an Exhibition to Move from Digital to Real Life

In order to make the most of the content produced by influencers and further engage the latter, a Social Wall has been launched. This Social Wall allows visitors to an Asus mini-site to share content and boost visibility for the initiative by using the hashtag #1NightOfZen, as well as the product tagline “See What Others Can’t See”.

The photographs taken by influencers during this initiative will be put on show at a temporary exhibition, as well as a private exhibition in a Parisian art gallery. This is designed to generate buzz around the Zenfone 2, while at the same time driving the visibility of the chosen influencers, their work and their collective engagement in an innovative project. And with this notion of engagement in mind, Asus will share influencers’ photographs on the brand’s official social media accounts.

Designed to support and enhance the partnership with Robert Jahns, this initiative has enabled Asus to engage meaningfully with the most high profile influencers in France.
