Once again, Microsoft teams up with Brainsonic to boost the engagement of in-person and online attendees at the largest IT event in Europe. This year, a Social Lounge, Social Reporter, Social Wall and other innovative tools are all on the menu at Microsoft TechDays – the most renowned event for digital professionals

Taking place from the 10th to the 12th of February at the Palais des Congrès, Paris, a number of additions have been made to the program for this year’s #mstechdays.

Before: Off to a Flying Start on Social Networks

Brainsonic began producing content (such as visual resources and infographics) ahead of the event, providing partners with TechDays communication kits. This content was designed to boost visibility and engagement on social networks and to drive social media activity directly from the event website (mstechdays.fr). For the first time, social media teams will identify leading influencers and instigate conversations, in order to encourage them to attend the event and get involved online via tweets.

During: Techdays TV, Social Lounge and Social Reporter – Digital Initiatives at the Heart of a Live Event

Social media teams will be based in the “Social Lounge”, which will be located at the heart of the event. This highly visible zone will allow attendees to see community managers at work as they tweet on official feeds, produce content such as infographics and videos and carry out social listening surrounding #mstechdays. The team will be led by a Social Reporter, who will be in charge of interviewing guest speakers and influencers during the three-day event, as well as a graphic designer who will provide additional content with a large amount of added value.

The visibility of TechDays on social networks will be boosted by Sociabble, a brand advocacy platform developed by Brainsonic. Sociabble will be implemented in a format designed specifically for events, with a “Social Wall” aggregating and displaying the social media feeds of Microsoft, guest speakers and partners. The Social Wall will be available to all visitors to the event website, allowing them to share content on social networks at the click of a button. In addition to this, the posts that appear on the Social Wall will be displayed on a number of screens in the Social Lounge, in slideshow format.

In order to drive interaction on social media and make retweeting easier for attendees, all partner stands at the venue will be equipped with a QR code.

As well as this, Brainsonic will oversee the live diffusion of TechDays TV by Frenchweb throughout the three-day event and will manage interaction with audience members, whether they are present at the event venue or not.

After: An Ever-Growing Audience Thanks to a “Replay” Strategy

With TechDays 2015 being recorded from start to finish, internet users will be able to experience or re-live the entire event on the website after the three days of live sessions come to an end.

The tools being implemented at TechDays 2015 are designed to attract an even greater number of participants, both at the Palais des Congrès and online, and to boost the brand’s visibility on social networks. This year, Microsoft and Brainsonic are focusing on engaging participants in order to maximize the impact of #mstechdays and showcase it before, during and after the live three-day event.
